Biography of General Co-Chair #1
Jaehoon Chung is a principal research engineer at LG Electronics, Inc., where he is a leader of the R&D project for advanced wireless communication technologies. He received a B.S. from Yonsei University in 1997, and M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 1999 and 2005, respectively. After joining LG Electronics in 2006, he has worked on 3GPP standardization by 2011 focusing on LTE & LTE-Advanced physical layer technologies. Since 2012, he has been mainly leading technology R&D and technical vision/strategy development of company and government for 5G wireless communication. Also he has been working for physical layer design on 3GPP 5G NR standardization since 2016. He is currently leading advanced technology R&D for 6G wireless communication in LG Electronics.
His research interests include full duplex radio, mmWave, massive MIMO, LDPC/Polar code, NoMA technologies, TeraHertz radio communication, Communication AI/ML, and so on. He received the National Order of Scientific & Technical Merit (Presidential Citation) from Korea government in 2012. He has currently the vice chairman positions on Global Strategy & Automotive Vehicle Convergence committees in 5G Forum Korea, and holds more than 700 patents.

Thomas Haustein (M’09) received the Dr.-Ing. (Ph.D.) degree in mobile communications from the University of Technology Berlin, Germany, in 2006. In 1997, he was with the Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI), Berlin, where he was involved in wireless infrared systems and radio communications with multiple antennas and OFDM. He was also involved in real-time algorithms for baseband processing and advanced multiuser resource allocation. From 2006 to 2008, he was with Nokia Siemens Networks, where he conducted research on 4G. Since 2009, he has been the Head of the Wireless Communications Department, Fraunhofer HHI, and is currently involved in research on 5G and industrial wireless.
He led several national and European funded projects on the topics of Cognitive Radio and Millimeter Wave Technology. He was and is active in several H2020 5GPPP projects. He has been serving as an Academic Advisor to NGMN since 2012 and contributes to 3GPP standardization since 2015.

Zhiheng Guo received his B.E and Ph.D. degrees from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China, in 2002 and 2007, respectively. From 2007 to 2014, he was a senior researcher with Ericsson Research. In 2014, he joined Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., as a senior researcher. He is currently a principle researcher in Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Beijing, China. His research interests include 4G/5G coexistence, multiuser access, cross-link interference management of flexible duplexes, and URLLC technologies in different applications.

Chanbyoung Chae is an Underwood Distinguished Professor, Yonsei University, Korea. Before joining Yonsei, he was with Bell Labs, Alcatel-Lucent, NJ, USA, as a member of technical staff, and Harvard University, MA, USA, as a postdoctoral research fellow. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008. He was the recipient/ co-recipient of the Young Engineer Award from The National Academy of Engineering of Korea in 2019, IEEE DySPAN Best Paper Award in 2018, IEEE/KICS Jour. Comm. Networks Best Paper Award in 2018, IEEE INFOCOM Best Demo Award in 2015, the IEIE/IEEE Joint Award for Young IT Engineer of the Year in 2014, the IEEE Sig. Proc. Mag. Best Paper Award in 2013, the IEEE ComSoc AP Outstanding Young Researcher Award in 2012, the IEEE Dan. E. Noble Fellowship Award in 2008. His team has demonstrated real-time networks including full duplex radios, lens-embedded mmWave system, and haptic/VR wireless system.
He currently serves as an Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Trans. MBMC and an Editor for the IEEE Comm. Mag., the IEEE Wireless Comm. Letters. He is a Vice-Director of IEEE Full Duplex ETI.
